babibubebo | 28 09 2006Hey Miguel! Thanks for the comment! Actually now I am closer to Sendai but I get to Tokyo often. Check the email I sent you. Looking forward to seeing your new site! I am sure it will be awesome!
This is a great website, how long has it been
Jason | 15 10 2006This is a great website, how long has it been up? I really like the picture you have on your site, but it would be nice to see some of the info on the pictures (like the body, lense, filters you used etc.)
I’m still learning photography (tho I still swear by film SLRs) and I was wondering if you had any advice on taking pictures in Autumn (I will be leaving for Japan next week); I am debating weither or not to a warming filter (81B)
Again, great site!
Hey Jason, thanks for the comment! I am really
babibubebo | 16 10 2006Hey Jason, thanks for the comment! I am really glad you like babibubebo.com! I started this site in the end of June 2006 but really it was pretty blank until end of July/August 2006 so it is a fairly new site! I still have many things I want to add to it!
Actually you have perfect timing bc soon I will be adding a page about what equipment I use and I am also updating the Fall post very soon! So check back again!
As to filters, to be honest, the only filter I ever use is a UV filter and that is only to protect my lens, so I am not the best person to ask about that; however, fall in Japan is so beautiful, with or without a filter you will be able to get some great phots! That being said, on your first roll, I suggest trying some with a filter and some without and get that roll developed here in Japan ASAP so you can see how they are turning out! If you come across a place you feel is just amazing, the def take a one with a filter and one without.
Hello Evan, I sort of stumbled onto your site through
Alex | 19 10 2006Hello Evan, I sort of stumbled onto your site through a portal during research for a paper I need to write for my Mass Comm class. I really like your photos, and the links you’ve provided to other photographers as well (Miho Aikawa espically). I’m a photo journalism major at Kent State University, and It is a dream of mine to be able to take pictures in Japan one day and I’m sure this site will be a great resource to me. Please keep up the awesome work.
Hey Alex, thanks for the comment. It is always
babibubebo | 19 10 2006Hey Alex, thanks for the comment. It is always nice to hear that people are enjoying my site and find it useful, I hope it helps you in the future and your goal of making it over here! I am not sure how much time you have left in college but I strongly suggest doing some type of study abroad program in Japan. Working over here is nice and I enjoy it, but study abroad here was really great! Also you will have a lot more free time to take photos while in school as opposed to if you actually have a job here. Another piece of advice I can give you is start learning Japanese (if you haven’t already)! Good luck and if you have any questions for me, you know where to find me!
Even, you're website has really come together nicely (and quickly).

Dan | 29 01 2007Hey Evan, chanced upon your site while I was researching for my upcoming cherry blossom holiday … great resource here for someone like me who shares similiar photography interest. Could you advise on locations for geisha spotting in Kyoto, that would be a great help! Best regards … Dan
